Albie (Albertus) van Buel, born 12th December 1959 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Albie is educated in Finance and Business Marketing and holds an MBA (Business Management) from Ottawa University in Canada/MSM Maastricht, which he finished in 2005.
Albie has extensive international experience and knowledge of the automotive (manufacturing) industry. He has worked 23 years in the Automotive Industry with companies such as, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Ford Motor Company, Jaguar, and Land Rover. From 1999 to 2008 he worked and lived in Sweden and was responsible for Purchasing and Logistics at VolvoCars, he was a member of VolvoCars executive management team, and between 2002-2005 responsible for interior/exterior purchasing in the Ford Pan Brand organization.
In 2008, he returned to the Netherlands as CPO for Philips Lighting. As part of the Management Team, he managed the transition to the LED based systems for Philips.
In 2012, Albie joined Vestas W/S in Denmark, as a member of the extended management team and was responsible for Purchasing and Supply Quality. From 2012 to 2019 Vestas had transformed from an international wind-turbine manufacturer and installer, into a renewable energy provider on a global bases.
As of January 2021, he joined the RAI Automotive Industry NL, as Managing Director. In addition to this role, he is also active as chairman of the board of EWALS Cargo care and as advisor to the board of HAIZEA S.A in Spain.
Ali Rezaei is a senior scientist on composite materials and computational mechanics at BMC. He has fulfilled his PhD at Gent University in 2011, and since then he has worked in Belgium, Canada, and the Netherlands, focusing on fiber reinforced composite materials. In addition to years of working on composite materials, Ali has extensive experience in the automotive and construction machinery industries.
Marc Hendrikse is chairman of Holland High Tech, the Topsector High Tech Systems and Materials (HTSM). Since the start of the governmental Topsector policy in 2011, he was appointed member of the Topteam by the minister of Economic Affairs. In 2017 he became the chairman.
In his 35-year career Marc Hendrikse has gained broad experience in de technological industry. The first two decades in the Automotive sector, with international management positions at DAF Trucks and as managing director of tourist coach builder BOVA, followed by 15 years in the High-Tech Equipment industry as CEO of NTS-Group. He has retired from this position last August.
Next to his role as chairman of Holland High Tech, Marc holds several board memberships. Amongst these are positions of chairman of the Supervisory Board of Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Eindhoven and of AWL Techniek B.V. in Harderwijk.
Philip Eyckens obtained a PhD from the Materials Science and Engineering department of the University of Leuven in materials modelling for sheet metal forming processes. He has over 10 years of experience in multi-scale materials modelling, design and process limit modelling for steel and aluminum. Since 2019, Philip is project leader at Flanders Make in the Design and Optimization Cluster, active in innovations that bridge industrial design and optimization methods with manufacturing techniques and production processes.
Dr. Steven van Eijck, geboren op 4 augustus 1959, is oud staatssecretaris van Financiën en bestuursvoorzitter van de RAI Vereniging.
